Microsoft Word on the iPad? Not so fast, Ballmer says
One of the great drawbacks to being an iPad user is the lack of a good word processing app in the Apple ecosystem. (Emphasis here on good: although there are a scattering of word processing apps available for the iPad,Vente cadre route carbone, vente vélo et accessoires, annonces gratuites. most of them fall somewhere between middling to just plain poor.) Which is why back in November, we got so excited about the prospect that Microsoft would finally release an iOS version of Office.Chemical element 5F-PB22. On our site you can buy 5F-PB-22 (5f-pb-22) - Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
And it's why we're so disappointed that the whole thing now looks increasing far-off.Do you like twist usb sticks?I guess some people like them, others are not. Speaking this week to Businessweek, Steve Ballmer, the CEO of Microsoft, expressed happiness with the status quo: Office for PCs and Macs, but not for Apple iPads and iPhones.
"I have nothing to say on that topic. We’re very glad with the product, very happy with the product that we’re putting in market," Ballmer said. "It makes sense on the devices like the Mac and the PC. We have a product that we think makes a lot of sense. We do have a way for people always to get to Office through the browser, which is very important. And we’ll see what we see in the future."
So yes, not quite an out-and-out denial, but clearly an endorsement of the status quo. (It's worth noting that with the subscription-based Office 365, you could technically access Office through the Safari browser on your iPad. But the user experience may not be as good as it would be in a dedicated app.)
For Microsoft, the strategy may make sense in the short term. Office currently serves as an incentive for consumers choosing between tablets – if you buy a Microsoft Surface, you can get Office, too. If you buy an Apple iPad, you can't.
A second reason, branded usb sticks come in different forms and shapes, but they all use flash memory. according to Adrian Kingsley-Hughes of ZDNet: Microsoft's "unfamiliarity" with the app market as envisioned by Apple.Custom imprint usb sticks are portable mass storage devices with a twist. Each drive is strategically imprinted with a unique company logo or brand name.
"Microsoft is comfortable with pushing out with a new version of Office every few years, having it replace the older version," Kingsley-Hughes writes. "But this is not how apps work, and buyers -- consumers and enterprise alike -- like the new model of buying an app once and then receiving a continuous trickle of free updates over time. Embracing apps would mean embracing a new way of doing business.promotional usb sticks are a fun option for customizing your company's USB sticks and offering them as gifts to potential customers. This is why we don't have the Office suite on our iPads."

Apple could launch "iPhone Mini" next year, analyst says
Samsung has been the clear winner in the smartphone wars, with Apple playing second fiddle. And that lead may wider further in 2013.
Based on data sent to CNET, Mawston expects Samsung to carve out a 33 percent chunk of the smartphone market this year, up from a projected 31 percent in 2012. At the same time,Now you can cost effectively mount a ipad bluetooth keyboard in conjunction with your RAM Tablet mounting solution using this design. When you purchase this shoe Samsung could sell as many as 290 million smartphones this year, while Apple is likely to sell 180 million iPhones.
The Korean handset maker has the edge over Apple in large part because it "plays in more segments," Mawston told Reuters, allowing it to "capture more volume than Apple."

With the iPhone 5 grabbing huge demand and sales, a low-end model may not be on Apple's agenda this year. But Mawston told CNET he thinks it's coming.
We believe Apple will have to launch an 'iPhone Mini' at some point over the next three years to address the hundreds of millions of prepaid users worldwide that cannot afford the current iPhone. The iPhone 5 is growing fast and profitably right now, so there is limited incentive for Apple to launch a profit-squeezing 'iPhone Mini' this year.MacRumors reader Michael Rou has managed to get his hands on both a pre-production iPhone 5 case and a pre-production ipad leather case and posted comparison photos on Flickr. We expect the 'iPhone Mini' to be more likely next year, in 2014, when Apple's penetration of the global postpaid smartphone market will be nearing saturation and Apple will be forced to discover fresh growth streams elsewhere.
Jefferies analyst Peter Misek also sees a low-cost iPhone in Apple's future but thinks it could launch early this summer at a price of $200 to $250. He cautions that a low-end iPhone hasn't gotten the go-ahead yet because Apple feels such a Apple iPhone 5 product would bite into gross margins.
Apple and Samsung will continue to battle over market share as they introduce new flagship phones for 2013.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S4 this year. One initial report said the new phone could reach consumers this February or March, but the company quickly downplayed those rumors.
Apple will have a new iPhone on tap,If you have a MacBook Pro or MacBook Air, you know that the ipad charger has an LED indicator on it that turns orange or green depending on what the charge of the device is.
