Designers lead the way with iPad book

Designers Marcus Silversides and Michael Lakeland have just released their first interactive book for children using the iPad.

By day the pair are at the frontier of technology and by night at the cutting edge of publishing.

They have deployed special US software called The Active Reader, built to create graphic novels. The bluetooth outdoor security cameras allows you to have a phone conversation without the use of your hands. Hands free is the term coined for this type of communication device that is essential for car drivers

“We started the project nine months ago with the simple idea of taking Marcus’ book, Leo and The Windy Day,With Apple’s ipad smart cover, iPad should be pretty well protected. There’s no telling how it will handle a drop, but for protection from every-day usage, iCircle + Smart Cover will certainly do the trick. to the iPad, but without the use of software engineers or the need of programming skills,Surveillance CCTV Cameras. According to sources in the state finance department, the move is aimed at curbing the growing tendency.” said Michael, who works in Histon and lives at Waterbeach.

“I have designed iOS apps in the past but had never built an app from scratch and, being a designer, I wasn’t keen to start learning Objective-C. I wanted to find something that enabled me to get stuck in straight away, and The Active Reader allowed us to do exactly that.

“The software is yet to be released, but we were lucky enough to be invited to take part in Tall Chair’s (San Francisco-based software company) closed-beta program which has been a great experience for us.”

The program brings content to life and without the need for a lot of technical know-how.

“No longer stuck in a 2D environment,Sadly, the iPad doesn't have either a USB port or an SD slot, but Apple sells the Apple ipad camera connection kit for £25. page turning is a thing of the past, and users can truly interact with objects on the screen,” the blurb says.

By working at night on the project, Marcus and Martin were able to make instant contact with Tall Chair, who would just be starting their day in San Francisco. The new iPhone needs enough iphone backup power to get through a busy day without requiring a recharge.

As to the book, it has 16 pages and 75 interactions for the reader to explore. It is the story of a boy who has lost his kite on a windy day and sets off on a midnight rescue mission.

“The future of interactive publishing to me is very exciting,” said Michael. “A traditional book will usually live in one place, in a toy box or on a book shelf, but an interactive book remains accessible via multiple devices, channels, and even in the near future via tough-responsive surfaces such as fridge doors, mirrors, walls, swivel usb promotions.com specializes in all usb related products such as branded usb sticks, promotional usb sticks, mini usb sticks and customed usb flash drives according to your needs, welcome! cooker hoods and car windows.”
