BMC to install CCTV cameras to monitor water reservoirs

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation will be installing close circuit cameras at water reservoirs and pumping stations to secure these important installations from any kind of treat.

"In the backdrop of 26/11 terror attacks and several warnings from the police, the security of key water installations has become very important," said a senior civic official.

These water reservoirs are located in the interiors where not many people are allowed. The water supply network of the city is 400 kilometre long and is one of the biggest in Asia.
